on my dad’s key chain there is a key with a patriotic eagle on it. I asked out loud what does this key even open to and my sister replied her heart for America and proceeded singing a song about how much she loves America. Then I asked my father what they key opens to and he said ” America”. I never thought I would have lived to hear my dad say such a thing but there it is.

My grandpa has Alzheimer’s so he has no idea who my grandma is but everyday for the last three or four months he brings her in flowers from their garden and asks her to run away with him and be his wife and everyday she says she already is and everyday the smile my grandpa gets on his face is the most beautiful heartfelt thing I have ever seen.
